Famous for its lush tea terraces and old colonial bungalows, the Cameron Highlands is set in the Malaysian state of Pahang. High above everything else at 1600 meters above sea level, Copthorne Cameron Highlands is a Tudor-style sprawling resort which is impressive and eye-catching from the moment you lay eyes on it.
Even the lobby is a grand entrance hall featuring pillars and impossibly high ceilings, complete with chandeliers. Rooms at the hotel have fantastic views of the highlands, of course, and are bright and homely, with traditional style wooden furnishings; you can also opt for different apartments in this village-like complex.
Amenities range from a choice of dining options and an indoor swimming pool to a children’s playground and sports bar. The Cameron Highlands Butterfly Farm, amongst other attractions, is within easy reach of here.
4. Hotel De’ La Ferns
Another of the Cameron Highlands’ Tudor-style, modern buildings, the Hotel De’ La Ferns is a very comfortable and quiet place to base yourself in this beautiful part of Malaysia. The decor is decidedly traditional and English-feeling, with plenty of earthy tones and warm colors to make the rooms seem homely and classic.
